The Force Behind the Lift- Trey Dolbeare

Have you ever used MYSPACE, Facebook, or Twitter? If so, then you have Trey Dolbeare to thank.  He was the inventor of several popular social media sites.  Okay, we may have embellished that a little, or completely made it up.  Trey, however did accomplish something almost as amazing, he was a Rotary intern for three terms, and then decided to make it a career.  He is now a Graphic Design Specialist, and today we are going to learn a little more about the youngest member of the marketing team.Trey_photo3

Q: How long have you been with Rotary Lift?

Trey: I have been here since May of 2014, but have interned for VSG three times since 2010.

Q: What do you enjoy about your job?

Trey: The VSG community is one you can be proud of and embrace each and everyday. The people truly enjoy their jobs, so it is encouraging to be a part of that atmosphere. Specifically, my fellow marketing crew is a group of talented individuals who are constantly creating excellent work and its contagious to be around.

Q: What is your work background in?

Trey: I graduated with my BFA in Visual Communications and now I work in the Marketing department as a graphic designer that helps create the literature (brochures, cut sheets, imagery). Also, I work along side Brad McAlister to create demo videos for specific products.

Q: What is one thing about working in where you do that people may not know?

Trey: Designers must stay up-to-date with the evolving advancements to the programs we use everyday. Technology is constantly advancing so we never want to be left behind.

Q: What is one of the biggest challenges to your job?

Trey: One of the biggest challenges is meeting the deadline. Usually, we must work on multiple projects at once, trying to manage time to complete each task can be tough.

Q: During your work career or personal life, what are are you most proud of?

Trey: My most recent accomplishment has been graduating from Ball State and accepting a job with a retirement plan.

Q: What is one fun fact about you that people may not know?

Trey: My grandfather use to fish and golf with Larry Bird. So pretty much, I'm best friends with a famous person.  Yeah, me Larr-Dogg go way back!

Q: What do you enjoy doing in your time away from work?

Trey: Away from work, I enjoy being outside, moving around since I am sitting for most of the day. I love to golf, play basketball, hike, attend concerts, and CrossFit in my spare time.

Q: Are you a music person or a sports person?

Trey: A little bit of both, but more of a sports person, Colts and Hoosiers all the way.
Favorite band list could go on and on.

Q: If you purchased one Rotary Lift product what would it be? Why?

Trey: I would probably purchase the SM14SW and give it to my dad. His Camaro would definitely look better atop the lift than my 98' Buick.
