Today we sat down with Mr. Larry Kendall, facility planner and technical information specialist with Rotary Lift. Larry is one of our secret weapons.. oh you thought we were referring to the picture above... no. We say that because some may not know that he handles all of our facility design for our customers. This is a service we offer to our customers free of charge, and Larry spearheads every project. We know many of you have worked with Larry over the years and are working with him today. He is extremely talented in his field and we consider ourselves lucky to have him on our team.
One other thing you are probably unaware of is that Larry handles all of our owner's manuals and installation guides, for all of our products. As you can guess this is a major job to handle and Larry keeps us up-to-date with all the latest information.

Q: How long have you been with Rotary Lift?
Larry: 15 years
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
Larry: Being part of the design process of car dealerships and transit facilities.
Q: What is your background in facility planning?
Larry: I’m an architectural designer before coming to Rotary I worked in the design of gymnastics and sports facilities. I work on 3 to 4 hundred vehicle service projects per year.
Q: What is something people may not know about the assistance we offer for Facility Planning?
Larry: It’s free; we use the latest architectural software, Revit, AutoCAD and Sketchup.
Q: What does a normal day at work consist of?
Larry: Converse with distributors on installation projects they have in the works, meet with architects, engineers, and contractors in person or via email or phone conference to discuss specifications, drawings and planning schedules.
Q: What is one fun fact about you that people may not know?
Larry: I have a black belt in traditional martial arts and kick boxed in the 155 lb. weight class. Trained in BJJ ( Brazilian Jiu- Jitsu) and Vale Tudo (Brazilian for anything goes) Luckily I still have all my teeth. I taught martial arts when I was younger and owned my first studio when I was 19. Now I’m a facility planning ninja!
Q: What do you enjoy doing in your time away from work?
Q: Are you more of a music guy or sports guy?
Larry: That’s tough... I enjoy music but watch a lot of contact sports – MMA and Boxing.
Q: If you purchased one Rotary Lift product what would it be? Why?
Larry: 4-Post Shockwave™ – Shockwave because of the minimal power requirements and I think the drive on lifts are more versatile for my needs.
