So, when you order a perfect two post, four post, smart lift or any other lift we offer, making sure everything arrives correctly is handled by our exclusive order management team. They receive orders from all over the world and coordinate between our customers and the manufacturing floor. This team makes sure you get your lift(s) in a timely manner. Think of them as your “lift liaisons.”
Today we talk with Stefanie Conner, one of our talented Order Management Coordinators. She and the rest of her team work tirelessly, pouring over every detail to ensure you get the lift you need.
Q: How long have you been with Rotary Lift?
Stefanie: I have only been with Rotary since April, but Order Entry is such a busy position that I have learned a lot about the company in just 4 short months. Before starting my position, I had an understanding of what the company manufactured, but I had no specific knowledge about our lifts. It’s certainly a business that could take many years to know inside and out; but my group is eager to get started.
Q: What do you enjoy about your job?
Stefanie: My colleagues are certainly what motivated me to come to work. In my opinion, Rotary couldn’t have hand picked a better, more in tuned group of ladies to represent the Order Entry Team. We are all like minded and can always come together with a solution to a problem. Our team was newly created and so we all started at the same time, knowing absolutely nothing. It has been a great joy of mine to learn together. We’ve laughed together, made mistakes together and learned from them together. We continue to help each other daily to become more successful.
Q: What is your work background in?
Stefanie: The last 15 years of my work life was retail at Lowe’s. Several positions on the sale floor, to Special Order Sales Coordinator, to handling Consumer Credit card accounts and finally ended my career in coordinating the interior remodels of kitchens and baths. I worked with a great group of people and made a lot of great friends along the way. It’s a rewarding experience for me to help customers and make them happy to do business with us. I have transitioned my customer service skills very well right over to Rotary.
Q: What is one of the biggest challenges of your job?
Stefanie: My biggest challenge on a day to day basis is not yet having the knowledge I need to be the best I can be. When I interviewed with the company, I thought, “No problem, I can key orders all day long!” Sounds great. Little did I know that Rotary has a million different part and model numbers to learn. (Maybe not that many)…The customer only gives us a small version of the lift they want and sometimes just a description, so it’s been a huge learning curve and a bible of notes to be able to remember and study all we need to know to enter each order correctly. Every customer is different and unique in how they want to be treated. It’s all about getting to know each customer individually and be open minded to learn how each of them operate.
Q: During your career and personal life what are you most proud of?
Stefanie: I’m most proud in the work place of the recognition the customers give us on a day to day basis. Their appreciative attitudes of most customers when we go above and beyond to meet their expectations. I’m most proud in my personal life of my parents in how they raised my sister and I. We both continue to succeed in life because of their example and love. I have used their positive influences in raising my own children and they too will be successful in whatever they choose to do.
Q: What do you enjoying doing in your spare time?
Stefanie: I love being outside, especially in the next few months to come; when the weather is (in my opinion)…Perfect! My family and I are planning an exciting new adventure this fall and are ready to start digging for our inground pool. I have almost begged my husband for nearly 5 years for a pool; so to me, it’s like a dream come true. We are doing all the work ourselves, so it should be interesting to see if we’re all still alive to be aloe to enjoy it when it’s complete. I also adore watching my children in all their extra curriculum activities. Landon is a Senior. He a great golfer, and is currently looking for college scholarships to continue playing after high school. He also plays basketball and soccer too. Lauren started Jr. High this year and plays basketball and dances on a competitive dance team.
Q: Are you a music person or a sports person?
Stefanie: I love to sing and I love to play sports. From playing volleyball and softball all through high school, and to now still playing volleyball on a church league and the occasional alumni softball game. The more active I stay, the younger and better I feel.
Q: If you purchased one Rotary Lift product what would it be? Why?
Stefanie: My husband does most of the maintenance on our vehicles, so a lift, one day, at our home would be handy. Since we have a 2 car garage and one day will be a 4 driver family, a 4 post would be nice so we can perform maintenance along with adding some storage capabilities.
