2017 APTA Guide

Christmas, Thanksgiving and your birthday are big events but they happen every year. That means you are never more than some 365 days away. However, events like the Summer Olympics, solar eclipses and the American Public Transportation Association Expo are fewer and farther between, making them worth the trip.

The APTA Expo takes place every 3 years and is the public transit industries largest show. With more than 800 global exhibitors there is plenty to see and do. So the big question, “Are you going?” And the answer should be, “Yes!”

If you are not scheduled to go, no worries, APTA might be able to help. Use their Justification Toolkit and it may be the boost you need to get your boss on board. Registration is easy and the best part, it’s free! So hopefully we will see you in Atlanta, at the Georgia World Congress Center on October 9-11.

Whether this will be your first time or you are an APTA seasoned pro, here are a few things you will want to check out.

Show Floor
Obviously, you are going to want to see the show. But with 800 plus booths, it can be a daunting task. Take advantage of the tools offered. There are floor plans and exhibit hall maps to make navigation easier. Try planning a route, and sticking to it. You can get distracted easily, but stay focused, you have work to do! Use the APTA Mobile App.  The app is free to download and with it you can:

  • Stay organized with up-to-the-minute exhibitor, speaker, and event information
  • Receive important real-time communications from show organizers
  • Build a personalized schedule and bookmark exhibitors
  • Take notes and download event handouts and presentations
  • Rate annual meeting sessions and connect with your colleagues
  • Stay in-the-know and join in on social media
  • Share your event photos and experiences with the Activity Feed
  • Find Atlanta local places

Learning Zones
Back by popular demand, the EXPO Learning Zones will be located on the show floor making it convenient to pop into a 30-minute educational session in between exploring the array of booths. See the full schedule.

TechKnowledge Experience
Through engaging presentations and time in between to get hands-on guidance from experts, the TechKnowledge Experience is the perfect way to get connected with experts who know technology like the back of their hands. Experience a unique spotlight on technology with tech experts available to demonstrate practical tech solutions, review your social media profiles, and boost your productivity. You’ll walk away empowered and savvy. Click here for more info and show hours.

Rotary Booth (#3469)
Probably one of the most impressive exhibitor booths at the entire show(we may be a bit biased). None the less make sure to stop by and check out some of our new heavy duty offerings. We will be showcasing our new MCHFLEX mobile columns, the popular inground MOD 35, our beast of a vertical rise lift the VREX, along with our full line of heavy duty wheel service equipment.

There is much more to this great show, so be sure to check out the website for more information.
